AFRtracker can be used to follow the progress during the ablation procedure. With AFRtracker, the different steps of the procedure can be evaluated in terms of how much they lower the AFR.
If the rhythm changes to atrial flutter (AFL) or other atrial tachycardias (AT), the atrial rate can still be measured by AFRtracker.
Figure: Example of AFR at six 10 sec segments during an ablation procedure. The AFR value is decreasing during the procedure.
Ablation steps:
- Baseline 1
- Baseline 2
- After PVI (pulmonary vein isolation)
- During (Mid) LA ablation
- After line ablation and ablation of fractionated electrograms (CFAE)
- After AT conversion
